We are grateful to have you in our lives and it means a lot to us to mark this moment in our lives in presence of our friendship. For those who are considering being at the wedding in-person, we recognize that it is a destination wedding and most of you haven't been to our home country. We've prepared a guidebook for your potential visit (link here) and will add more information closer to date.

How long should you plan to stay?
We'd recommend spending 4 - 5 nights in Seoul with expectations that we will spend meaningful time together before and after the wedding. It will be great if you could arrive Wednesday night or early Thursday and leave late Sunday afternoon or later (any direct flights departing on Sunday will get you back to the US the same day) to give you enough time in Seoul and around festivities we are planning. However, we understand that everyone has constraints and preferences and want to emphasize that pre- and post-wedding festivities are completely optional and there is no expectation for your attendance in any of them. Many of our friends indicated that they are looking to stay longer. I've included in the guidebook (link here) some helpful information on how you could plan a longer trip and sharing below some preliminary ideas - 4 - 5 nights => Seoul 5 - 7 nights => Seoul and Busan or Jeju 7 - 10 nights => Seoul, Busan and Jeju 10+ nights => Korea and another country As an example, Japan is very close to Korea (~2 hours by flight) and easy to travel to. There are many flights between major and regional airports between Korean and Japan (e.g. you could fly from Busan or Jeju to Osaka or Hokkaido). If you don't need visa to enter Korea, you probably won't need one for Japan.
Where should you stay in Seoul?
The wedding takes place at a hotel, The Shilla Seoul, centrally located in Seoul. We are biased about the hotel given we grew up going there for special occasions and its famous mango bingsu. However, there are lots of options in the city (e.g. hotels, Airbnb) and we'd recommend finding a place closer to places you'd like to visit. We've compiled a list in the guidebook (link here) to make your search easier.
Plus one & Kids?
Yes, we'd love to host your special person! However... that special person isn't your kids. It is not customary to have kids in Korean weddings and we are sticking with customs on that front. This only applies to the wedding and we are happy to help finding solutions to have your kids to be part of your trip.
